If you are wanting to see some historic landmarks you can also visit the Iwo Jima, it is a first casting of the actual Iwo Jima monument and is located at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, TX.

If you are a foodie and want to enjoy a nice walk in a flower field or see handmade crafts, organic foods, and drinks, there's no better place then The Market at Wild August.  Another option with a nice ambience is Colletti's Italian Restaurant, which has superb Italian cuisine and a nice selection of wine.

The Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum offers plenty of both the Arts and Heritage. The museum is surrounded by a series of historical buildings along with the main exhibition hall.
